Bruce Cawthorne has completed several renovation jobs at my house in the Butler-Tarkington area. He has remodeled/redesigned my kitchen, renovated a bathroom, put in new flooring, and other numerous projects. Each job has been approached with the utmost professionalism, considerate attitude, and expertise. His work has surpassed my expectations as far as quality, and his price was very fair. The projects were completed in a timely fashion, and the routine of the household was not interrupted. Bruce is a very creative designer, and his finished products were "top of the line" as far as quality, craftsmanship and beauty. If I had to sum up Bruce's work, it would be "outstanding" ..... in every aspect!!

I recently purchased a duplex home in need of repair. I was referred to Bruce Cawthorne by a close friend. Bruce refinished the Hardwood floors, repaired the kitchen ceramic tile floor, redid the counter tops, plumbing and electrical. His work was exceptional, everything was completed on time and well under budget. I found Bruce to be a very talented craftsman, with a good old fashioned work ethic, something not easily found these days. I am hoping to use Bruce in some upcoming projects and would not hesitate to confidently recommend him to anyone in need of his exceptional skills.

I have had the sincere pleasure of working with Bruce Cawthorne for the past two years. In the 15 years I have spent with countless sub-contractors and handy men while redoing my older home I have seldom encountered anyone more qualified than Bruce with the broad mechanical and technical skills to tackle any work proposal. He has installed my whole home with antique tongue and groove pine flooring, created internal archways for antique church doors, framed a gutted two story precivil war investment home, plumbed (though not his passion), and wired. I have referred several of my good friends to him and they are equally effusive about his work and work ethic. He is able to do more by himself than two or three men could accomplish together. It is extraordinary that he hauls extension ladders and lumber and power tools on or in his two door Subaru! He thinks through design dilemmas and then proceeds only after he has researched and puzzled them out. There is an art to what he is able to do. He is also extremely fair in estimating the cost of a project. Hire him and you'll see that for yourself. I cannot reccommend him highly enough.

My wife and I needed a new front porch on our 1923 Meridian-Kessler home. Bruce worked with us to design a structure that would enhance our colonial revival home with architecture that would blend with the original. Bruce worked out several math problems that were required to determine how to achieve the desired results. He built our new porch in June of 2005 with professional skill. He was sensitive to our goals, worked efficiently while remembering that we still lived there, kept an organized and clean work site, and finished the job within the time schedule and cost that he told us it would be. We could not be more proud of the results. I would recommend Bruce to any one but I want to keep him a secret because craftsmen of his caliber are rare and I want him to work with us again on future projects.

Bruce works both intuitively and analytically. He focuses on creative problem solving with his clients. He works quietly, and cleans up after himself. I have been pleased with the zen wood shed that Bruce built for me, as well as electrical and plumbing repairs that he has done.
